A lot of the focus is on avoiding the "sugar bombs" that are especially dangerous and tempting. As having a self-professed "sweet tooth", the author is good on thinking about ways to avoid them and lower the cravings for them. Avoiding them altogether and shifting your taste buds, he argues, to find other flavors more appealing—but I appreciate that he doesn't demand extreme changes but accepts some folks will want to keep sweet options, so lists his favored artificial sweeteners, just as he highlights which fruits are best versus those with too much sugar. The book is basically lots of these small guidelines—which I appreciate more than the "one stupid trick to solve all your weight problems" scam books out there.”
